We are hot off the heels of the National Kitchen and Bath show in Las Vegas. There was a ton of new and exciting trends and products. Read on for our top 5 standouts.
5. Green. The color green is everywhere. In tile, plumbing fixtures, paint, wallpaper, appliances- you name it. We have been seeing this trend emerge since Covid but this year's market planted green firmly in the foreground. Kohler came out with 3 limited colors: Teal, Aspen Green & Fresh Green. Ann Sacks had some beautiful new green tiles and Smeg displayed a cool green 'car front' cooler for outdoor gatherings.
4. Marble. The other item we found in abundance was marble. Everything from tile and countertops to sinks and baths- ranging from simple to complex. One of the most unique pieces we discovered was a dramatic, sharply ribbed console vanity with an integrated sink at Kohler. There was a phenomenal ribbed marble tub also at Kohler that would be a stand out in any master bathroom.
3. Textures - especially ribbed. Over the last year we have been seeing a surge in textured patterns on walls and cabinets and this 2024 market showed there are no signs of slowing in that department. We particularly observed ribbed patterns in cabinetry, marble, faucet handles, cabinet pulls, and sinks.
2. Layered lighting. There continues to be new and better products for light integration in the home. One vendor we hit this year was Hafele. They have a slick integrated, wireless lighting system that allows for under shelf lighting on adjustable shelves.
Another vendor called Novy won Best Of KBIS this year for their undercabinet lighting that is hand activated and has the ability to light anywhere from a small section to the entire span as needed. Check out this video to see it in action:
1. While I saw many new favorites this market - if pressed, I would have to admit that my favorite is a piece from the Italian company Fantini. They debuted an award winning, widespread faucet system with deck mounted, gorgeous transparent, cylindrical handles produced from murano glass with a swirl of color in it. The handles are pieces of art in and of themselves and I am obsessed with them.
So those are our top 5 finds from market that were too good not to share. Do you see anything you like? Let us know in the comments!
