Incline Village, NV

This cozy Tahoe home was built in the early 1970's and it showed. There were several sharp (300 degree!) angles throughout the home, rendering some spaces fairly unusable. A full gut remodel kept the best of the original build and modified the rest, bringing the home fully into the 21st century.

Some highlights:

~The master bath was reconfigured and a steam shower added for the cold winters

~Kitchen/Dining space was flipped. New, larger kitchen area now opens up to grab the beautiful view and is more connected with the living room. The new dining space has a fun but functional bar space with wine frig, a ton of storage and built in banquette seating, allowing for wider walkways in the center of the space.

~The color palette of the home was driven by it's natural surroundings of the pine & aspen trees, granite rock, and of course- the lake and it's various shades of blue.

~White paint was removed from all the original wood ceiling beams and stained a rich, dark walnut.

~The better layout allowed for the addition of a sauna room- perfect for those long ski days!
